Fusun SII Film
Ultra-High Strength Laminated Glass Solution for Demanding Applications
Fusun SII Film
High-Strength Structural Glazing Film
What is Fusun SII Film?
Fuson SII (Security Inoplast Interlayer-S2 Film) , Equivalent to so called SII film, As a high-performance structural interlayer under Fusun PVB & Interlayer product line, Fusun SII is engineered to replace traditional PVB and ordinary structural interlayers, delivering exceptional mechanical properties and long-term reliability for the most demanding architectural and industrial glazing projects.
Product Overview
Fusun SII Interlayer is a next-generation structural glazing film, belonging to Fusun’s comprehensive interlayer product portfolio (including PVB, heat-insulating PVB, and SII). Different from conventional PVB interlayers, it is made of advanced ionomer resin, featuring ultra-high strength, excellent impact resistance, superior creep resistance, and outstanding weatherability. Designed for laminated glass applications that require maximum structural integrity, safety, and design flexibility, Fusun SII effectively bonds glass panels to form a robust, integrated structure, even in extreme environmental conditions.
Ideal for both architectural and industrial scenarios, Fusun SII maintains stable performance across a wide temperature range, resisting delamination, yellowing, and degradation—making it a reliable choice for projects where safety and durability are non-negotiable.
Core Advantages
- Ultra-High Structural Strength: Boasts 5x the tensile strength and 10x the tear strength of standard PVB interlayers, enabling thinner glass designs while maintaining superior load-bearing capacity for structural glazing.
- Exceptional Impact & Shatter Resistance: Even after glass breakage, Fusun SII holds glass fragments tightly, preventing falling and reducing safety hazards—excellent for overhead glazing, railings, and high-traffic areas.
- Superior Creep Resistance: Maintains dimensional stability under long-term loads and elevated temperatures (up to 80℃), outperforming PVB and ordinary structural interlayers in long-term service.
- Outstanding Weatherability & UV Protection: Resists UV radiation (blocks ≥99% of harmful UV rays), humidity, salt fog, and thermal cycles, preventing yellowing and delamination, with a service life of over 25 years.
- Excellent Compatibility: Works seamlessly with annealed, heat-strengthened, tempered, and low-iron glass; compatible with standard lamination processes, and can be combined with Fusun PVB interlayers for customized solutions.
- Design Flexibility: Available in clear, tinted, and opaque options, supporting large-format glass, curved glass, and complex glazing designs, meeting both functional and aesthetic needs of architectural projects.
